This notice is an update to the article in the July 9, 2007 edition of the Medicare Part A News.

Transition to the Enterprise Data Center (EDC) requires that additional information be on file for all HIQA/FISS RACF ID's.  In order for Highmark Medicare Services to properly support your logon ID, each logon must have an assigned email address (that accurately reflects the individual user assigned to the logon ID) as well as a user-selected Personal Identification Number (PIN) that is to be used in the event that a password reset is required.

The email address you provide will be used as the primary form of communication for new logon instructions as well as communication of your newly assigned logon ID and password.  Please make sure that this is a valid email address for the individual in your organization that is assigned to the logon ID.

ACTION REQUIRED!

Click on the link below to complete and submit the EDC Transition Customer Information Form.  Completion of this form is required so that we may collect the necessary information to create your new FISS RACF ID.

By submitting this form, you are agreeing to the following:

  • understanding of the responsibility to protect and maintain the confidentiality of the data
  • understanding that if the Medicare data obtained from the FISS is mishandled in any way, you will be held responsible in accordance with the Medicare requirements.

RACF Form

Note:  Completion of this form is required by 08/15/2007 for MD/DC providers or by 09/07/2007 for PA providers for all individuals with existing HIQA/FISS logon IDs .

IMPACT OF NOT COMPLETING REQUIRED ACTION!

Failure to complete this form will result in a delay in assignment and distribution of your new logon ID, which in turn, has potential impact to your ability to conduct day-to-day business functions and ultimately your cash flow.  This newly-assigned ID will be required to access HIQA/FISS.  Your old logon ID will no longer be valid for accessing HIQA/FISS for the following functions after the date of transition to the EDC:

  • Direct Data Entry for claims
  • Eligibility inquiries
  • Claim correction
  • Claim inquiry

You should receive your new ID and password prior to actual EDC transition if you have submitted your form by 08/15/2007 for MD/DC providers or by 09/07/2007 for PA providers.

Further instructions for use of this and password reset instructions will be distributed with your logon.
