The POE Advisory Group provides input and feedback on training topics, provider/supplier education materials, and dates and locations of provider/supplier education workshops and events. The group also identifies salient provider/supplier/education issues, and recommends effective means of information dissemination to all appropriate providers and suppliers and their staff. The POE Advisory Group is a provider/supplier education consultant resource, and not an approval or sanctioning authority.

The POE Advisory Group includes representatives of various provider/supplier specialties we service including state and local trade and professional associations, practicing providers/suppliers or staff members, and representatives of billing organizations. Current membership includes representatives from: Allegheny County Medical Society; Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services; Central Bucks Cardiology; Dauphin County Medical Society; Dept of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania; DuBois Regional Medical Center; Geisinger Health System; Good Samaritan Health Center; Lancaster Radiology; Medical Oncology Hematology Associates; Northeastern Lab Medicine; Penn State College of Medicine; Pennsylvania Community Providers Association; Pennsylvania Medical Society; Physician Support Systems; Pittsburgh Pulmonary Associates; Professional Billing & Management Services; Saint Vincent Medical Group; Susquehanna Physicians Services; The Heart Group; UPMC Ethics & Compliance Office; and West Penn Allegheny Health System.

The POE Advisory Group meets on a quarterly basis (October 12, 2007, January 10, 2008, April 10, 2008 and July 10, 2008) for approximately two hours. Members either travel to the Highmark facility in Camp Hill, PA or participate via teleconference. The next meeting will be held on July 10, 2008. All meetings begin at 9:30 a.m. Members are provided with an agenda and conference call information approximately 30 days prior to each meeting. Following each meeting, minutes are published.
