CD-ROM Based Training Modules

Highmark Medicare Services has developed several training exercises on CD-ROM which are available online.

Interactive Online Training System

Highmark Medicare Services offers the availability to receive Continuing Education Credits (CMEs or CEUs) through our online training modules. You must receive a passing score (70% or higher) on a module.

Our interactive training module system makes use of the Authorware system by Macromedia. In order to access our training, you will need to download a special "plug-in" for your web browser. This is a one-time process. Once you have installed the plug-in on your PC, you will not need to download it for future training sessions.

Click the first link below to launch a new window with this download. When the window opens, click "INSTALL NOW" and wait for the animated film to play. Answer "Yes" and "OK" to any prompts which you are presented with. When this is complete, you will be ready to access our new training modules!

This process may take up to 30 minutes on a dial-up modem connection.

When your download is complete, click the second link below to access the training system. Be sure that you maximize the new web browser window to FULL SCREEN and that your screen resolution is set to 800*600 or above. If it is not, the training system will instruct you how to do so.

Our training modules were recently updated to the latest version of the Authorware software, which might require you to install the latest free Authorware plugin (first link above).  If you are unable to install this, please contact your company's systems experts, as some organizations have this ability blocked in web browsers.
