(ECR and Print Image files effective for cost reporting periods ending on or after January 31, 2004)

This listing constitutes notification of approval and is acceptable in lieu of copies of approval letters from providers with approved systems.

Footnotes:

1. Approved for core worksheets only. Approval for subprovider worksheets is precluded until a new test case is issued.
2. Approved for core worksheets and K series (hospice) worksheets only. Approval for all other subprovider worksheets is precluded until a new test case is issued.
3. Approved for the printed worksheets only, not ECR or Print Image (PI) file creation.
4. Providers utilizing the free software are not required to submit a PI file, however, a manually completed cost report must be submitted in lieu of the PI file. Software tradename indicated in brackets

Note: The date, time, and encryption code listed on Worksheet S must match exactly the date, time, and encryption code on the physical file of both the ECR and Print Image. The ECR and Print Image files will contain their own unique encryption identification. The time on the ECR may differ from the time on the Print Image due to the period of time required to process the Print Image file after the ECR file has been processed.

If you permit a provider, at any time, for purposes of expediency to e-mail an ECR file, that file must be sent as a compressed or self extracting file. If the file is sent in its ASCII format without the benefit of compression or as a self extraction the validity of the encryption verification is altered and therefore should be deemed unacceptable.
