Advanced FISS Training is offered in a by-appointment only format. Appointments will be scheduled in one hour intervals per provider number. Appointments will be made on a first come first served basis. We have six appointments available each day. Register for an appointment if you are an experienced FISS user. You will learn how to complete claim adjustments, claim corrections, and Direct Data Entry.
Prior to Registration
- Your facility must have a valid Medicare Part A provider number.
- Your facility must have EDI connectivity with Highmark Medicare Services and have on-line FISS access (FISS ID and passwords) before registering for an appointment.
- You MUST bring your on-line access ID and passwords to your scheduled appointment.
- Please access FISS at least one time prior to attending your appointment to ensure you can access the system.
Resources
- FISS Manuals will be made available upon request. There is a $25.00 charge per manual.
- You can download the most current version from our website.
- If you choose to have a FISS Manual provided to you, payment must be received 3 days prior to your scheduled appointment. Payment must be received by check. Checks must be made payable to ‘Highmark’.
Appointment Information
- It is essential that you bring your active FISS on-line ID and password.
- Bring your FISS Manual unless one is to be provided to you.
- Obtain and bring to your appointment information for claim correction(s), claim adjustment(s), and direct data entry claim(s). Bring as many corrections, adjustments, and direct data entry claims as you like – at least one of each will be completed during your appointment time. If you do not bring these claim types, you will not be able to take full advantage of your appointment time.
- Please do not bring individual suspended claim issues to this appointment. The Customer Contact Center addresses claim processing issues. They can be reached at 1-877-235-8048.
- Dress is casual.
